The Official Mostly Autumn Magazine established 2000

About Autumn Leaves

A Brief History

Autumn Leaves was started in 2000 by Simon and Elaine Musk who had by then been following the band for sometime and thought a fan magazine would be a good idea. The band agreed and the first issue was published at the end of that year. Simon and Elaine continued editing and publishing the magazine up to issue 7. By late 2003, due to other commitments they had decided they were unable to continue with it and the publication was about to fold.

More Black than Purple, the Ritchie Blackmore magazine had a close association with Autumn Leaves and offered to step in and take over the publication. More Black than Purple had followed Mostly Autumn since 2000 when it was first introduced to the band's music as a consequence of the support slot on Blackmore's Night's first UK tour. Since then the magazine  took every opportunity to help publicise the band within its pages, with reviews of albums and gigs. Issue 20 also included an interview with Bryan Josh. Not wanting to see the magazine fold it was therefore an obvious decision to take over publication, which was done in February 2004.
